Monday – Ran 5 miles on the trail with Amanda, Gordon, Lex, and of course Karma. We all did well. (I was pretty tired from the 10 Miler race the day before, but I got through it) Miles - 5
Tuesday – Met up with some friends to run a track workout. I think the overall workout for me was about 4miles. Miles - 4
Wednesday – Team Pain Train quality workout… Wow. What a workout. Ran about 2.5 miles to the workout spot on Scenic drive, then ran three 0.8 mile laps at 10K pace. Triscuit, Ostrich, and I ran the first two in 6min 57 seconds, and the third in about 6min 47. It was a hilly workout, and I’m quite pleased with my performance. The ran back another 2.5 miles. Ouch. I was really tired after this workout. Miles - 8
Thursday – Ran a short trail run with Karma just to appease him in the afternoon, and a DWEAPR with him in the morning. My right foot has started hurting.
Total Miles- 4
Friday – Ran a little at the Burnet Road Challenge, but no more than about 1.5 miles. I was in pain. Miles - 1.5
Saturday – Off. In pain.
Sunday – I was supposed to run 14 miles at THE LAB, which is a 3.5 mile loop that allows us to focus on our pace. But I was only able to go one lap. About half ways into it, the pain in my foot was so extreme, that I had to stop, and not risk further injury. After some internet research, and talking to some coaches, apparently I have Plantar Fasciitis. This could sideline me for weeks to months. I doubt it will keep me out for very long, but it hurts bad, even when I’m just lying in bed, or on the couch. MILES 3.5
Total Miles for the week: Only 26. Was supposed to go over 40, but foot pain is hobbling me.
