It makes sense to me.

My coach gaves us his motivational and informational speech yesterday after our final Quality Workout of the Marathon season.

He said something which made a ton of sense to me, and it's something I will use on Sunday, and probably every other run I ever partake in.
It went something like this:

“Pain is a Liar. Pain is not telling you what is really going on in your body. Remember (on Sunday that)... you’ll still be in pain if you stop, or even if you stop running and start walking, so you might as well keep running. “

To which someone added:
“… and you’ll be done faster.”

AMEN! Seriously.

That thought is what got me through miles 22-26.2 last year...

"It's gonna hurt no matter what at this point. If I can keep going (and if I can find it in me to go faster) then I'll be done sooner!"

It worked for me!

I'll be waiting to hug you at the finish Wiley!! You're gonna kick ass this Sunday.
