I ran for my 3rd straight day yesterday and it was a track workout. going to make it 4 for 4 today!
- Sunday I ran 4.5 or so on the greenbelt trails.
- Monday I ran 4.5 or so on the greenbelt trails.
- Tuesday I went to the Blue Jackets workout, ran 1.25 warmup 1.25 cooldown, and three set of 600 meters at 5k Pace. I was supposed to run 4, but my legs were burning up by 2.5, so I decided not to go crazy.
- Wednesday - Today is the 5k/10k Camp Punishment workout, and I’m excited. I think -it’s eight sets of 200 meters at 1 mile pace. 1.25 warm and cool downs too. I really, truly can’t wait for Yabba Dabba Doo time! And i hope Jim will be there, so I can use him as my rabbit, and force myself to run all 8 at mile pace!
- Tomorrow is Thursday. (I know, that statement sounded pretty damn smart or me). I’m meeting some good friends for dinner at 7, so I may try and sneak out of work a little early to go run the greenbelt with Karma and make it 5 for 5, and still get there on time!
- Friday is my usual Day Off.
- Saturday I have decided NOT to run the Texas Round Up 5K. I couldn’t even keep a sub 20 min pace going for 1800 meters yesterday, so why would an extremely competitive me torture myself with a real bad showing. I bet I’d even have problems breaking 21 minutes if I ran.
Instead, I’ll go cheer my friends on, and then hit the greenbelt for quite possibly a 10 miler or so. I want to run with my camelback, and that would mean 10 miles…
Plus, this weekend I need to decide if I sign up for the 10K or 30K trail race that’s coming up on May 6th, and I should really see if I can even run more than 10 miles on a trail before I venture out on an 18mile stint.
Who wants to run a long run with me on the greenbelt on Saturday or Sunday?!?!
It's incredible how some shorts, a shirt, and some kicks can make on happy!

Aren't you supposed to ease back in to things after an injury, not try to make it worse at least straight away ? :)
I'm thinking about signing up for the Maze too. 10k though, doubt I'm fit enough to run a 30k - that's a long way!
before everyone jumps on this bandwagon...
I'm running very slow, i run on grass almost all the way up to the track.
on the greenbelt, i purposely try and choose the less rocky routes, and when it's rocky, i run on my toes.
I guess perception is everything. but don't be alarmed, the last person that wants an injuryt is me!
then again, my only weakness is Menu Reading, so this superhero should be alright!
I might be up for a trail run this weekend!
I'm going to sign up for the 10k maze, so I need to get back to doing some trail running
Ps: Jooqf - what sort of capatcha is that ? Is it a French dog ?
are you gonna demonstrate your new running style, Chi(cken) Running, to everyone?
Glad you are back. :)
