Hi Public Relations Team

Hi Public Relations team,

You are undoubtedly getting many of these emails, and are numb to them, but i find great relief in sharing my story with you.

I'm not mad, I've just had many many hours of time on my hands with nothing to do, and I found your Public Relations page on Engadget's comments and thought you might enjoy my story.

I'm a current AT&T customer, been one for 8 years, so my activation shouldn't be that big a deal. Afterall, 2 other friends I know had theirs up and running and emailed me from them by 8pm on Friday night!
I got home at 7pm, and spent 4 hours on hold or on the phone with diferent incapabale AT&T reps who played "hot potato" with me.
I got back up at 4:30am hoping a few hours of technology magic would activate it. Nothing. Called the AT&T support number that i got in my email saying that i needed to call support and give them my Activation ID number. I got lucky and spoke to someone pretty quick, but she told me the "servers for my billing region were overwhlemed and down for maintenance" so they'd be ready to go when the 'real' support crew shows up at 6 or 7am.
Fine, i have to go running anyway (marathon training). I came back hoping for success but nothing. Called support again, a different number the nice lady at 4:30am gave me (866-907-3484) at 9:24am, waited for 2 hours and 12 mins before I got a person on the line! She was very friendly too, and todl me my account wasn't even set up for activation, so nothing would ever have happenned had I not called her. Great!
My death blow is the fact that I only have my cell phone and no landline. So, she eventually disconnected my SIM card on my old phone, so now I have no phone to call them, and I'm disconnected with no idea what to do. Hmmm...
I eventually downloaded SKYPE* and have now been on hold on my PC with AT&T again for what is now 1hour and 15mins trying to get someone on the line that can tell me what to do to make things happen. I'm about to throw the phone out the window, drive over it 6 times, then take a drill and make a strainer out of it, but I'm a calm guy and will continue to patiently wait for Moses to answer and fix my issues.

So far 7+ hours of hold time and counting!

More of my fun story to come once my JesusPhone is operational.

What can you guys do? Really, you can't do much, but it's important for you to read first hand the issues we're facing.

Regards,
Mike

**I already had a copy of SKYPE but hadn't thought of using it**

Update: I'm now talking to Apple support after being on hold with them for 17 minutes with them. They say they don't see my registration on their end.
