Run Log Update 5/21 - 6/9/07

5/21/2007 - Monday - 5:45AM - 8 - Townlake with Nedra and Karma. Felt good after 2.4 miles. The first little hill by milago was rough! Not sure why.
5/22/2007- Tuesday - 6:30PM - 7 - 1min on 1 min off on pecos. Hard as hell, but I did it.
5/23/2007 - Wednesday - 6AM - 4 - Greenbalt Pantie loop in reverse. Trscuit, Lulu, Karma. Fun. Many spiders out. Waas way tired for the first 10 mins, but then my legs came back to me/
5/24/2007 - Thursday - 5:45am and 7pm - 12 -ran 7 miles with Nedra, townlake and capitol, then 5 pub run miles. Townlake felt ok. It was humid so hard to go on that, plantars kicked in on congress, but disappeared 2 miles later.
5/25/2007 - Friday - OFF - 0 - OFF
5/26/2007 - Saturday - 6AM - 16 - 12 on Roguette, and 4 on greenbelt. Was tired on the greenbelt 4, but it was expected as I had no Gu or water with me. Went nice and slow.
5/27/2007 - Sunday - 8:30AM - 3 - Run for the rovers 5K . 6:53s. Nice and easy,,, felt ok.
5/28/2007 - Monday - OFF - 0 - Decided to not run, legs felt tired from prior days, and I didn't eat much.
5/29/2007 - Tuesday - 6:30PM - 7 - 3.5 miles of warm and cool down to Austin High. Warhurst. Bonked after the 2nd 1 miler. Hit my times for the first set… 6:55, 3:06, but the 2nd mile was 7:20 then I quite. My legs felt horrible, I bonked. Need to eat more. Ran another 1 mile loop at 7:31.
5/30/2007 - Wednesday - OFF - 0 - Took the day off to EAT and get strong again
5/31/2007 - Thursday - 6AM - 7 - Fartlek 3-2-1 with Neda and Bruce and Karma 7:30, 7:15, 7 for the 3,2,1. Felt good all the way through. Amazing what proper eating does for one.
6/1/2007 - Friday - OFF - 0 - No run - Rest day
6/2/2007 - Saturday - 8:30AM - 5 - Ran townlake with Kerry 5 miles super easy. Felt OK. Weather sucked. Hot and muggy.
6/3/2007 - Sunday - 6 - The Loop - race reoprt to come. 47:34 was my time. 13th overall, 7th in my agegroup, improved my time from last year by over 4 minutes. That's a good thing!
6/4/2007 - Monday - 5:45AM - 10 - I ran the 5 mile town lake loop twice with Nedra and Jodie so karma could run half of it with us. It was a muggy day, my legs were tired for the first 2 miles and last miles from the loop race the day before, but we got through it in 1hr 30.
6/5/2007 - Tuesday - 6:30PM - 5.5 - 1.25 warmup, 1.25 cooldown. Ran 3 Cruz sets. Felt much better than 3 weeks ago. 2:57 - 3:02 - 2:52 goal was 2:57
6/6/2007 - Wednesday - 6AM - 3.5 - Ran a short trail run with Karma. To be honest I cut it short for two patheitc reasons. 1, I was on my own and couldn't get motivated to fight through the tired legs. 2- I must have run through 5 giant spider webs in the first 10 minutes.
6/7/2007 - Thursday - 5:30AM - 7.75 - CV 20 laps at 15K pace. 4 sets of 5 laps with 3 min rest. Laps were on target with 15K Pace. 8:30 as target. 8:28 - 8:34 - 8:27 - 8:09. (I somehow got confused on my 200 meter splits and ran too fast. Last two laps of final set were tough. Not deathly tough, but comfortably hard. Breathing was fine, just jelly tarzan legs.
6/8/2007 - Friday - OFF - 0 No run - Rest day
6/9/2007 - Saturday - 6AM - 12 - Ran 12 miles from the Annexx out on Scenic to Mayfield park and back on pecos and exposition to Lake Austin Blvd. The 1st mile was ridiculous. The guys I run with need to chill out and run the 1st mile as a warm up and not a sub 8 min mile. Anyway, felt good most of the way. Took a Gu at mile 8. Saw two peacocks then a snake on the road that was in my way. Not a rattler, but I don't like snakes. Picked up the pace with 2 miles to go to a 7:30 or so, then progressive from Stevie Ray to the 1st street bridge. It felt good most of the way. My plantars on my left foot gave me bad hassle from about mile 0.5 until mile 3. Right foot was fine. Heel had no pains. Chris said he ran his Garmin showed 8min 01 as his pace, and i beat him by a few minutes, so my overall pace was probably around 7:50 per mile. 1hr32 min net, 1hr 40mins with waterstops included.

Total Miles: 114

Yay on the Warhurst! That work-out kicks my ass everytime. I think it's the only one where I really want to crawl back to the annex.

Dang! Although what I want to say is you're awesome for a) running that much and b) keeping track of it, all I can think about is the spider webs and snakes. Ick!
