MR. WARHURST... we meet again.

Today’s 5:30am menu had a tough as nails workout. My not so favorite Warhurst! 4 sets of it.
Add warm up and cool down, and the GPS’ in the group clocked it at just over 12miles.

What is the “Warhurst”?
Well, it’s a mean workout. 1 mile loop with a not so friendly hill, then we immediately jump onto the track and run 3 laps.

Here were my splits today:
Set 1:
1 Mile Loop: 6:53
3 Laps: 1:33, 1:34, 1:35 (6min15second/mile pace)

Set 2:
1 Mile Loop: 6:54
3 Laps: 1:35, 1:35, 1:35 (6min15second/mile pace)

Set 3:
1 Mile Loop: 6:50
3 Laps: 1:32, 1:33, 1:31 (6min10second/mile pace)

Set 4:
1 Mile Loop: 6:39
3 Laps: 1:30, 1:31, 1:25 (5min50second/mile pace)

All about thinking “FORM” on the last lap!

Did I mention a crisp 50 degree morning with a slight wind. Perfect for a short sleeve, shorts, cap and gloves. I could have run for days!

I kicked you ass, Warhurst.
