I'll have two bands on my arms on Sunday.
- The first will be my pace band. It has both the 3:10:00 mile splits and the 3:15:00 miles splits as well as miles and the different KM check opint that they have out on the course. The plan is to go out with the 3:10 pace group through mile 9, then adjust accordingly. If the pace group goes out at some ridiculous pace under 7min 15 seconds, i'll just let them run away. I have no interest in banking time on top of 3:10 as my goal is under 3:15:59
- The second band will be on my other arm, and it will be my mental help. I won't have the luxury of having friends on the course or next to me as I run, so maybe this may help. A series of words or small reminders that will hopefully help me out of the gutter, give me energy, and remove the demons.
The band reads:
* Trust your training, Frank
* Why
* All the runs
* 10 milers
* SAR 22
* positive attitude
* dammit, this is easy
* people back home
* trackers
* Positive thoughts
* 1-9 adjust
* 9 - 18 hit pace
* 18+ strength
