It's official

So it’s official.  I have a concussion.  The Dr. does not believe it’s anything too serious, but still suggested I go and see a balance doctor to get my inner ear, middle ear, eyes etc tested to make sure nothing is out of place.  I go in on Monday morning at 10am.

Until then, I’ve been told that only time and rest will heal everything.  Essentially, there’s a lot of ‘out of whack’ electricity in my head, which is causing pain due to bright lights, loud noises, and heavy concentration.

So he said, take Advil, Tylenol and water, eat, and rest.

Per doctor, my Saturday’s 24 mile run will be a game time decision as he can’t predict when I’ll be better.  I hope I don’t have to run 24 miles on my own on Sunday.  THAT, will suck.

Now if only I hadn’t forgotten my laptop’s power cord at the office.  (Loss of memory and Concentration mishaps = part of concussions)

Yowza. In 1993 I was in a car accident (a passenger in the backseat, wearing my seatbelt) and an unbelted passenger flew into me & our heads hit & he gave me a concussion. I vomitted for 2 days. My doctor even called me at home a couple of times to make sure I hadn't passed out. Headaches certainly suck, but at least I don't hear mention of vomitting.
