Old way it played out:
Them- What's your dog's name?
Me- Karma
Them- She is very cute.
Me- It's a he.
Them- I'm sorry.
Me- No worries, just don't do it again, or I'll have HIM tear your face off.

New Strategy:
Them- What's your dog's name?
Me- His name is Karma.
Them- He is very handsome.
Me- Thanks, he's a great dog.
