Let’s start with some updates

I’ve got so many things to post about, but I have to post them in order, and in order to not overwhelm my audience, you’ll just have to wait knowing that I have many things in my mind that will be posted over the next few days.

As such, let’s start with some updates:

- I bought a Global Santoku knife for Christmas, and several of you have asked me how I like it. I love it. I’m very happy with my purchase. Here’s the original post, but as a summary, I ended up buying a Global 7 inch Santoku Asian Chef's Knife, Hollow.
So far, I’ve used it for cutting chicken, and beef, and also for slicing, dicing and chopping vegetables. I’ve truly enjoyed my knife, and don’t feel that the $90 or so dollars I paid was overkill.
I have found that I need a second knife. I need one that is a smaller one. I think my next purchase will be a 3 or 5 inch Pairing knife. I’ll stick to the Global brand. Probably something like this one.

- My running is back.
I’ll write more on this, but for this post, I’m simply happy to report that last week I ran Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a total of 25 miles and experienced no pain in my Knee/IT Band. Sure I felt like crap during the week runs due to my illness, but in terms of IT band, it seems to be fully healed. It only took a month! Sheesh.

- Vacation.
I need a vacation, but I also have a self imposed moratorium on purchasing any non-essentials until July 1, so I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

- Running
My coach is crazy... more to come on this.
