Met up with coach Sisson yesterday to discuss my next 7 months leading
up to CIM (California International Marathon) on Dec 7. He wants me
to keep ramping up to 70-80 miles and then hold there for a few
weeks. He likes what I'm up to; he's OK with mixing Trail and Road,
and absolutely BEST OF ALL, he has totally backed my plan to do the
Timberline 26.2 trail marathon on Sep 13 in Portland. (Mt Hood, 3000
feet of descent).
More details on Timberline soon as it'd be nice to not have to do it
alone.
Then went to a Happy Hour for two employees leaving the company + me,
so 3 of us. I was an hour late, but thais better than one of the
other two, who didnt even show.
Today, I'm meeting my dietician extraordinaire, Meredith(Mer) for an
easy going trail run at 7 up where she lives. Karma will enjoy
running with Daisy and Flyer and sniffing new sniffables. I have some
questions for her on what goes on during a 100km race, which she's off
to run in Cali on Saturday! WOW! (it still bewilders me how people
do that).
In a separate, yet tantamount event, my buddy Brownie is running a 50
miler this weekend in Co. Send good luck vibes to both of them!
I think I'll take a mid morning nap today, just because I can and most
of you can't.
