This morning it was out of bed again at 4:32am, to meet up with Ken, Jo Dee, Ruth and Tausha for 12 miles at 5:30am.
We ran around Townlake, opting for a nice gentle pace as tomorrow is 22 (maybe 23) miles of St Eds hilly fun.
Went and soaked in the springs, which had unusually high amounts of salad (algae, creek weeds) floating around. As I departed the springs, I walked out with one of the ladies that originally didn't like runners. I think at least I am warming up to her, because she sparked up a nice conversation with me, and we both chatted all the way to our cars, then wished each other a good day and a great weekend. "see you next week!" I'm going to be the best friend of all of them by the time the summer is over. Well, maybe not crazy asian lady, but definitely all the other ones!
That makes it 64 miles for the week, with 23 tommorrow and will only need a few on Sunday to hit my goal of just over 90.
Got a massage from Lisa this morning. She was overall very pleased with the shape my legs are in, but I do have a few kinks here and there. Nothing to be alarmed about, just soreness from the mileage. She actually said she was pleasantly surprised, as she was expecting me to be in really bad shape with all these miles. We did agree that I wiggled like a Worm on Concrete more than usual, but not as much as when I first started going to her with my bad bad calf cramping issues.
