The last model they made was their 2007 model, so it's been out of production for a good 9 months or so.
I usually buy the prior year's model anyway, as I can find it for quite cheap,$48-$60vs. $95 for the current year's model. My theory is," If it was good enough for me and the world last year, why wouldn't it be good enough for me today?"
So, I usually have bought a few pairs at a time to always have 2 or 3 spares, and went from Radius 05, to Radius 06 and on to Radius 07. However, lately it's been getting tougher and tougher to find my size on the web. After all, once they're gone, this time, they'll really be GONE. :| eeek!
Anyone who runs knows they anxiety of trying to find a new pair of shoes. It's THE single most important thing, as the wrong running shoe can bring very bad injuries.
So overtime, I've become "friends" with the folks over at www.runbargains.com and they recently helped me locate 8 additional pairs so I could load up and be set through some of the spring.
I know it's looks like complete lunacy, but don't forget that I throw away a pair every 350 miles. That means one pair almost every month. (June 320 miles, May 306 miles)
Check out how well behaved they all are....

To answer your question: "No, I have absolutely no idea why one box is different." (The shoe and the sticker on it is the same.)

Sad to say -- this is brilliant.
I completely understand...now if only my shoes would last beyond 250 miles that would be fantastic!
