Saturday 22.5 miler

3:48am is a horrible time to hear your alarm. I don't care if you're going fishing, hunting, on a vacation, or if it's christmas. I just don't care... 3:48am just plain sucks. So i pressed snooze. Then at 3:57, I laid there in bed till 4. I don't care how committed I am to my training, I am NOT getting out of my bed when there's a 3. Bruce said it best when I met him, Larry, Ken, Jason, Charles, and Damon for our 5AM run.
"I didn't even know my clock had a 3 on it!"
Ha! Well said! The route was a 22.5 miler, with about 6 or 7 miles of hills running up from Riverside to St Edwards University then the hilly neighborhoods of South 1st street, South Lamar and Zilker heights. We joked all the way to the hills about how this would be our Tour De France, and it gave us the extra ooomp to climb. According to Ken's GPS, these were some of our splits during the hills:
7:57
7:53
7:51
7:37
7:36
7:57
Precisely what I want out of my hills. I want to keep my long run pace going, regardless of the terrain.
YEAH! WE ROCKED IT!

P.S. Karma's dreaming of running. Is there a better sight than a dog's feet moving while they're dreaming!? dang! He must be chasing something! He's going nuts! Oh! He's doing the sleep bark! hahahah! awesome!
