Gotta be the cupcakes! (24 miles of good FUN!)

So two Saturdays in a row, I've had cupcakes in my belly from the prior day, and run good 24 miles. I didn't eat all of these, but I ate half of the top 4 of them! (top left then clockwise: Banana Nutella, Caramel Toffee Bites, Boston Cream Pie, S'mores) Untoched one is Carrot.
Today, I killed it! I felt good the entire way, and the last 6 miles were STRONG!

We ran 24 miles, of which everything was pretty much either slight uphill, or hills all the way. Sure, we're not talking the Alps here, but for an easy long run, this was a hilly course. Rogue to Guadalupe, up town streets including Shoal Creek, then over to Far West, a loop in the hills of far west, then back down towards home via hilly Balcones, Pecos, Enfield, 12th street...
I'm very happy with my performance today. I think we ran right around 8 min miles most of the way, then the last 1/3 of the run, we picked up the pace.

I ran with the regular guys as well as Jo Dee, and she had a GPS. Here are my/her last 6 miles:
Mile 18 - 7:34 (Balcones)
Mile 19 - 7:31
Mile 20 - 7:31
Mile 21 - 7:30
Mile 22 - 7:16
Mile 23 - 7:32
Mile 24 - 6:20'ish (ran away from Jo Dee and she clocked in at a very fast 6:38!)

And those miles include distance on Balcones, Pecos, Enfield, and up 12th street from the tavern. Time to eat some more cupcakes!

Tomorrow we run an EASY 9.5 to finish off my 100 mile week. Oh yeah!

Yes, the beer was much needed. Sorry I'm in any way related to the woman that gave your last beer away! I know she knows better! After my three hour nap I almost feel human again, hooray long runs!

I forgot to add that that 7:32 in mile 23 was with the water stop!
