I'd forgotten how much fun recovery week is until I finished my first run of the week this Tuesday morning.
yes, it's Tuesday, and I'm (only) at 9 miles! It feels great.
Ran about 3 miles slow and easy 8:15-8:30 pace.
Then 2 miles at seven whatever pace. Who cares, really!
Then 4 miles easy pace back to the store.
My muscles were a little sore from the day after a day off, but once warmed up, they felt alright.
I love my coach! Amongst other stuff, for our recovery week, he said:
- Eat like a horse…esp. mexican food & ice cream!
That's what I like to hear! Except, I think he forgot the word Pizza in there.
