'the Clarksviller ten' and a fluke coldfront?

Who can say they have a 10 mile out and back route in Clarksville (Exposition/Pecos/Enfield area) that is pretty much flat??

I can.

Ken was the only one that showed up for our Friday 10 miler today. We then found out that one person who shall remain nameless (Erin M) failed to get out of bed for a 5:30 run, but we saw her afterwards at Barton Springs so kudos to her for getting up and running on her own anyway!

Long story short, the run was the best run we've both had in quite some time. The weather has now been a cool 70-72'ish for 2 days in a row, so that surely helped, but most of all, we ran a new direction (kind of) and the brand new street choices were great!

Check out this great 10 miler HERE. I'm calling it "the Clarksviller ten"
(water at 1 mile, 4 miles, 6 miles and 9 miles.)
Barton Springs to the Rock (water 1 mile)
Rock to Hula Hut
Past Hula Hut, right on Bonnie, (street after Enfield by boat dock).
Bonnie all the way, cross Exposition, forced quick left right onto Bridle.
Bridle till you hit the end and a park. (Mile 4 water fountain south side of pool in park)
Back onto Bridle which veers left (at park) becomes Sharon
Sharon ends at Indian Trail.
Left on Indian trail up to the little shopping center (WC at Seattle's best if need be)
And back the way you came.
Exactly 10 miles.

A great night-time run as the homes have front porches and insides lit and don't believe in blinds or curtains, but we can't wait to run it in daylight to check out some of the homes.

Go run it & report back what you think!

P.S. Karma rocked on the Karma loop too! He even gallopped instead of trotting for many parts of it. the WEATHER is reviving him!

Hey I think all the dogs are loving the cool mornings! I took Silver dog for her first run in months on Thurs and she rocked the whole way for 3.5 miles. Can't wait until it's consistantly cool enough to take her everyday so she can get in shape. She doesn't like running in the heat although I guess if I was smart like you, I'd have a short Silver loop everytime I ran that was short enough for her in the heat.

yes, every dog deserves a short loop named after them so they can be part of the fun, at least for 1.2 miles!

Create it!
