We ended up with this 9 mile route. Pretty much out standby route, just cut short a bit, because
I was tired, and my legs were tired. I think if it wasn't 31 degrees out, my legs wouldn't feel as stiff and dead.
So as I have 24 miles tomorrow, 9 was better than 10 today.
i'm so ready for the cold weather to be gone. I really want to be able to just throw on a pair of shorts, and go run. I'm tired of looking for layers, making sure i have gloves, and a beanie to protect the ears, and all the laundry that entails.
GO AWAY COLD WEATHER. GO AWAY!

I agree. In fact I probably need to make sure I have clean layers for tomorrow;-(
I feel like I'm doing laundry constantly and that it's all running clothes. Not that I don't enjoy cold weather during winter, but I am a little tired of putting three shirts on at a time to go run.
Agreed, agreed, and agreed. I wear layers...and then I end up taking them off anyway during the run! And you don't even want to see my laundry room right now.....
I'm ready for slightly warmer weather...but I prefer cold weather to hot weather for running. Of course I don't run at 5:00 am - personal choice and everyone can make it. I have figured out the right layers for certain temps. I can say this - I never need more than long sleeves x 1 layer with a sports bra unless it is windy and then I wear a wind proof vest, an ear band and wind proof mittens. As recently as last night, I had just a sports bra + shorts for the steady state part. I don't like being hot when I run. I also don't like running in wet, dripping with sweat, shorts.
kirsten, that sounded way too complex. kind of like computer "IF THEN ELSE" code.
it's precisely what i'm saying... wind proof vest, or mittens or ear band or long sleeve, or a cat in a cradle, or burlington coats... fuhgettaboutit.
Compared to "throw on any Shorts, some socks, Shoes and any short sleeve shirt, that won't even make it out of the car..." this crappy 30's weather can suck my big left toe.
