Run Update

Last Monday was the Boston Marathon. My legs were pretty beat up
Tuesday and Wednesday, so Thursday I decided to attack the foam roller
which made them feel much better by the afternoon. This led me to meet
Kristin for a 4.5 mile'ish Easy trail run on Friday. Legs felt heavy
but it was great to be back in the woods, and Karma was happy as can be!

- Saturday I met up with a few others for a 7 mile loop around
Townlake and a nice soak at Barton Springs. My legs were TIRED and my
hammies really tender for the last 3 miles, which made the 2 hours at
the ART festival the last bit of energy I had for the day. Thankfully
my couch was happy to have me for most of the afternoon, and I was
asleep in bed by 8:30pm. Ah yes, the life of the rockstar was
cancelled this weekend.

- Sunday had me up early for a trail run at "first light". Only John
came along but it was a great run in the greenbelt... It rained
lightly which was fantastic. About 7miles in total. No hamstring
issues whatsoever, but legs were pretty dead.

- Monday was a predetermined day off, while I sadly skipped today's
10miler with Damon and Ken because I figure it's better to get
stronger and recover from this cold than to dig a deeper hole.

...Especially since I'm 5 days from the Maze 10km trail race! And 31
days from the Stockholm Marathon!

Yup, no 30km trail race for me, but I may sneak on for a 2nd loop to
make it a 12 mile(20km) run. We shall see.
