Holy Bonk, Batman

Well, my yearly bonk due to the temperature change finally took place today.  This is the 3rd consecutive year where I have felt like a complete piece of poo after (or even during a run).

I had some speedwork on the schedule to start getting turnover back in the legs for Stockholm in 23 days.  Here's how I fared (my goal being 6:20 pace):
3 mile warmup
6:25
6:18
6:17
6:18
2 mile warmdown (cut it short from the prescribed 3)

It was hot and humid out, and I struggled but got it done.  I took a Gel after 2 laps to make sure i'd get through this thing.  Felt "fainty" at half way of the 2nd loop, and I got a serious headrush when i bent down to adjust my shoe tongues before the 3rd one, but i never felt uber weak where i had to stop.  It felt like i was in my shower and had just turned off the water after each lap... drenched and could feel sweat just dripping down every part of my body.

I drank a chocolate milk recovery, plenty of water and came home.  Did a couple things around the house, then all of a sudden I felt this uncontrollable weak feeling.  Then I started having shaky legs and just felt so weak like I had to sit down RIGHT AWAY

I have since devoured two waffles with honey and PB, a cupcake(mmm... 8 seconds in microwave), two yogurts and may need to go back for more stuff... Ham and Cheese sandwich sounds pretty good right now. So does a hamburger and even giant plate of chicken and shrimp fried rice!  Also drank another 20oz of water with Nuun, and 2 salt pills.

I guess I didn't eat enough yesterday and completely depleted myself on the workout today, but how  is a bowl of cereal pre run, 2 egg on toast, 2 yoghurts for bfast; a salad and a margherita pizza for lunch, a giant cameo apple for afternoon snack, and a bowl of pasta for dinner not enough food???  Also drank 60oz of water not including the chocolate milk and the 20 oz directly after my morning run.

Guess Meredith and I will be having a nice conversation at some point today to figure things out.
I'm thinking it's just the weather change bonk.  Hope she agrees.

Tomorrow's a day off so maybe that will help.
