body was today.
I wrote the other day I was starting to feel fat and pathetic...
Well, the pathetic part I can't substatiate, but the fat part I can.
I weigh myself every morning, and then when I get out ofthe shower
post runs. I fluctuate by around 4lbs, usually dippings down 4 and
theN coming back up to what I call "race weight" (just like boxers
have fight weight).
Due to the stitches I haven't run. I also haven't weighed myself since
there was no running. I also have been eating less in the last meal
since I haven't been burning calories as much and haven't been feeling
as hungry.
HOWEVER, this morning I weighed myself and I came in 3.5lbs heavier
than any weight I've seen displayed in a very very long time. (Like
well over a year).
So there you have it. 1 week of no running has made me gain weight and
I feel fat.
The good news is the stitches came off today replaced by butterfly
bandaids thingies and I have the green light to test out a run, so
I'll start shedding the extra pounds "tout-de-suite"!

You should take a few more days off so I can get a bigger lead in our bet. I should pass 1900 miles later today...
The coconut M&M's probably don't help with the feeling fat part, although they may elivate your mood so you don't feel so pathetic.
KEITH, HAHAHHA!
They're my afternoon snack, well
within the calorie guidelines set forth to me by the expert, but well outside of the nutritional guidelines that same expert set forth to me.
Operation Race Weight begins maƱana.
JT, you're still within catching distance.
My training restarts Thursday and I'll start making up the mielage one day at a time.
Just be ready to run your wart out in the snowy days of December, or I'll run right by your sorry ass on dec 25
Wart = heart
I'll start with an 80 mile week this week, with most of it in your neck of the woods so I can see what all the fuss is about.
HA! Good luck with that! I love how all you Texans plan on coming up here and not seeing a drop off of mileage or pace from your usual Town Lake stuff.
What you running up here? You should check out Zapata Lake if you're near the Sand Dunes. Only ten miles, should only take you an hour or so!
i know full well there will be a drop off. 20 miles will take me for ever!
but i look forward to it.
by "town lake", it sounds like you're referring to someone else. I haven't hit that thing in months.
I'll look for both of those.
all i know if we start by westcliffe at alvarado campsite and end up 3 days later somewhere close to Salida.
i'm on vacation. someone else tells me where to go the morning of. i bet sisson gets us lost, then found, then drunk.
You'll be going the opposite direction of Zapata Lake. Still a terrific area though. Get the caveman at Moonlight Pizza in Salida.
