Finally a great run on the road

I'm not sure if it's been 3 weeks or 4 since I've returned to heavier doses of road running, but i FINALLY had a 14.5 mile run that felt like the old days.
The old days where 14 miles felt like a 10 minute walk.
The old days where you actually pick up the pace on the gilbert mile to the pool and feel great about it.
The old days where never once did your legs feel like trampled duck poop.
The old days when you look for that "easy button" at the end of the run.
Ahhhh, felt sooooo good!

Combining that with a great talk with Ken about his 100mile experience last night, and you have yourself a potentially winning combination going in to Saturday's 60km trail race!

AND.... to top it all off, I think my time assumption of 7-8 hours is WAY off.   I actually think that I have a shot of running it in less than 6 hours.  wha...WHAT!!!!   sub 6 hours?!   yep!  and the theory behind it is pretty sound, too.
We'll just have to sit patiently and see what happens!

Happy Running!

I'm off to review my Bandera 100km training schedule with Sisson to see what he thinks of my foolishly aggressive approach!

Which race is it again that you're running. Can't find it in your "planned list" on the right
