No rain blessings

Seems like Austin got scattered rain, hail, and winds yesterday early
evening. My home saw 0% precipitation.

More importantly, my 6:30pm rendezvous with Kerry for a 7'ish mile
field loop didn't get any rain either. That was a big bummer because
there's nothing better than a rain run in the woods! But we had fun
nonetheless.

It was overcast, so not as hot as expected, but it still gave me the
information I needed for clothing, hydration, and electrolyte
replenishment from apparent sweat rates for a 7pm race start.

The new headlamp feels strange at first but worked well. The new
shorts, has my nutirtion bouncing around quite a bit more than
expected. ( unlike Kamran's review suggested, but there's a difference
between Gels on road running and my secret food and trail running, so
not doggning on K). I still came away liking them so it's all good.
I bought two types of new high performance socks (reduce chance for
blisters on a 6hr run in high humidity) and wore one of each on the
run. It was a tie, as both felt great. I think I'll just reach in a
bag with my eyes closed and pick a pair to race in.

Carbo load and serious hydration prep started at breakfast today. This
is going to be fun. Challenging, but fun!

I think I'm almost ready for this!
