Monday evening run instead of Tuesday

I'm not one to complain about weather itself as it's a variable you cannot control. I will run in hot weather, in cold weather, in rainy weather, or in dry weather, adjusting my sails to adapt to the conditions.  However, any runner will tell you that freezing temperatures + rain, is the worst combination of all.  All the forecasts called for freezing temperatures and rain all day today.

The last 2 weeks prior to a race, I listen to my body and what my brain thinks i should do so I'm completely at peace with myself going in to race day.  This means that I'm also completely unpredictable when it comes to just about anything.  As far as running goes, this behavior sets me up for somewhere between 39 and 60 miles for the week.

Last thing I need is to get sick 10 days before my race, so I decided to run at sunset last night instead of this morning.  I sent an email out to a few of the people that run my pace and wouldn't you know it, 6 others decided to do the same thing.  Proves the theory that rain plus freezing temperatures is just crappy!

The rain did not show up this am at 5:30am, so i could have run, but it finally arrived at 9am, so I'm glad I played it safe.  In addition, it sure was nice to turn off the alarm and sleep till 7am!

So ten miles yesterday, maybe - maybe not a run tomorrow, and then a run on Thursday and Friday.  Saturday is too far out to predict!
