Milkshake # 4

I had milkshake # 4 yesterday late afternoon and it has opened up a whole new realm of opportunities for me.
I used my current supply of Blue Bell "Homemade Vanilla" flavored icecream, as I don't see myself buying another gallon until this one is at least 3/4s consumed. I then tossed in some chocolate in there to play with the idea of fine chocolate chips in a shake and see what flavor they give. The chocolates
I used are Swedish. The brand is called Marabou and as you see in the photo, they are small and round. I'm 90% sure that you can buy them at IKEA if you're so inclined. They're milk chocolate and super tasty!

I was going to use chocolate milk instead of regular milk, but I waited too long to consume my chocolate milk. Thankfully I smelled the contents instead of blindly pouring into the blender.

I also used more icecream and less milk to thicken things up, and I'm now VERY close to perfecting a milkshake.

I didn't take a photo of the blended product, which sucks because it looked awesome and really would have showcased the chipped up chocolate in the shake, because truth be told, my phone's battery died just after the above photo was snapped and there was no waiting for a recharge to consume.

However, I can tell you that the chocolate broke up / chipped up to perfection and released all it's cocoa oils into the shake. It was a very successful shake in terms of thickness and most importantly, flavor. The flavor was so tasty that I can honestly say people would pay good money to drink one. It was THAT good!

I decided to take the advice from a couple of people and throw my brown bananas in the freezer. Personally, I think that a frozen banana blended in icecream will not release as much flavor as a fresh banana but we will have to see how that turns out.

The successful addition of chocolate has no sparked a whole new range of ideas for future shakes. I find that as I'm enjoying the fine flavors of my creations, is when ideas for new shakes stream into my head. So much so, that I've even started a list and am jotting down my ideas as they pop into my head while consuming these delectable elixirs.

I can't wait to go to the store to pick up a few ingredients that are going to elevate this into a real Shake Odyssey!
