Office Space

Im lucky to be able to work from my homeoffice. However, once a week, on Monday morning, I head up to the office for a forecast/update meeting.

When I started 9 months ago, they gave me a fully operational cubicle at the office, but truth be told, I rarely need that space for more than 15-30 minutes to print up reports, unless I have additional stuff to do while I'm up there.

I started off with a cubicle full of all the goodies: a spare desktop computer, a chair, a mouse, a keyboard, a monitor, file cabinets, etc. You know.. The works!

Over time, things started to change:
One Monday, the desktop computer had been taken to be used for something else.
Then, the mouse disappeared. Then, my regular chair went missing.
Then, a few weeks ago, someone took over the entire cube, so I started using an empty one.
Today, that empty one had been taken over too.

However, I'm very resourceful, and was a scout for about a year so I know how to survive and found a new home.

Hopefully this one will not be taken from me.

As you can see, it's cozy, and in the corner of "the office junk cube". I moved some boxes and cleaned the top of the desk, as it was covered with a thick layer of dust. This new spot is great! If you look closely, you can see the energy oozing out of my little "corner of productivity".

My only fear is that I forgot to put a box of junk back onto the desk where my laptop is in the photo, and move the abandoned, half-broken chair over, so someone may realize what a great cube this is and take it over too.

Fortunately for me (and my new cube), I get to host clients on both Wednesday and Thursday, so I can put the box back up first-thing Wednesday morning!

I just hope one of the two clients asks me: "so where do you sit?, so I can show them with great pride.
