Volunteering at Habitat for Humanity

For my friend Kenny's birthday, he invited us to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. He did last year as well, but i was unable to go due to a very long workout. This year I yet again had a hard run, but there's no way i was missing it!

Our project was a "deconstruction" of a house that was going to be remodeled. We were to try and salvage everything we could so habitat can either use it or resell it? not sure.

Regardless, it's good stuff, and i had a blast. I sledgehammered the crap out of an old bathroom's tile wall, I tore down dry wall, I carefully took down 2x4's, and had fun with a crowbar doing all kinds of miscellaneous things.

Here are some photos. As you can maybe see from photo 1 and 2, we were able to deconstruct 2 walls.

That's Kenny posing in the first photo! Happy Birthday, Kenny!

That's what's left of the tiles I destroyed!

It was fun! I can't wait to do it again!!!

Nice!

A nice upper body workout as well. Did you feel it the next day?

You have a great friend in Kenny. What a wonderful thing to do. We should all do that on our birthdays!
