60 min Aqua Run

Several friends have caught the injury bug and have chosen to join me for pool workouts, so this morning Runners ruled the pool. I love the company, but it's bittersweet that they're having to be there.

Stephen (old soccer/work colleague), David and Ben joined me for a solid 60 min workout:
10min warmup with belt
20min 1min on/off without belt at 90% effort.
10min recovery steady with belt.
10min 1min on/off without belt at 90% effort.
10min warm down with belt

I did this workout 2 weeks ago and it was brutal. This time around it was rough, but not nearly as hard. Guess this stuff is adding some type of cardio/fitness. What type of fitness? I have no idea, but something is making it easier.

In other news, today, runners ruled the pool. It's raining in Austin today so all but one of the swimmers that usually fill the pool got scared and stayed home. Wusses!!
2 more swimmers, local writer Pam L. and one more did show up for their regular 7am session. Then again, I know Pam has trained with Rogue and run a marathon so she knows a few droplets won't melt her.
