I can't lose the faith in Boston and need to keep the fitness strong.
I'm a born leader and I've recruited 3 friends who are also injured and they are doing this with me. David and Ben are runners, and Stephen is an old Soccer buddy of mine that also is injured that wants to stay fit.
Today we had a great ladder session.
- 10 min warmup with belt
- off with the belts....
- 8 times 1 min @95% effort with 30 sec recoveries
- 2 times 2:30min @ 90% with 1 min recovery
- 1 time 5mins @ 90% with 2 min recovery
- 2 times 2:30min @ 90% with 1 min recovery
- 8 times 1 min @95% effort with 30 sec recoveries
- 10 min warmdown with belt.
WOW! every single muslce hurt during the backside of that ladder! sheesh!
best part about today, Stephen (soccer player) after we killed him Tuesday with 30 sets of 1min off/on, says:
"Man, this is so much tougher than Tuesday. For the first half i totally thought... I'm gonna be able to hang with these guys today. And then you killed me again."hahah... He'll be back for more on Tuesday for more!!
Almost forgot, the pool was crowded today, and it was a fun surprise to see my triathlete friend Amie show up for her swim work out too. It looked long and brutal too, but I doubt it can hold a candle to the ladder we did, intensity wise. ha!
