The Hanging Gardens

The rains threatened to wash out our run this AM. Three of us are in OFFSEASON and Mer in a recovery week, so no interest in slogging through puddles and getting doused with rain.
I love tracking weather so I was up 90 mins before alarm time watching the radar online (on phone in bed) trying to figure out if we'd be spared. I made the educated, yet executive decision with 60 mins to spare sending an email saying the rain would be done by 6:23 so our 6:20am run would be spared.
I ran 20mins with Karma beforehand and barely got wet by a few sprinkles. Was actually more wet from sweat, and by the time 6:25 rolled around for our departure the rain had pretty much cleared. Damn I'm good!

Ran about 8.5-9 miles or so. Great dun to catch up with Dan abd Bruce that I hadn't run with since before Boston and Mer is always a treat!
Even with a gel at mile 5ish, legs were burnt toast by mile 7.5 and had nothing to pull me up on the little climb from Cesar Chavez to Whole Foods via the YMCA!

I decided i deserved some Torchy's Tacos to go. I love what they've done to their patio. Yeah, I added color to the photo to "Torchy it up".
Don't their hanging gardens kick butt?!?!
