A tactical route choosing error cost us 1.5 hours of driving on a small county road through a canyon instead f flying up a 70mile per hour highway so the drive took 11+ hours instead of 9.5. But the canyon was great so it was kind of worth it!
Northern Colorado and southern Wyoming is quite boring. Long long flat stretches except for that mountain range we had to cross and the finally arriving in the Tetons national park.
