Barton Springs pool got hammered

This is Barton Springs pool. This is where Paul Neman learned to swim. A natural pool fed by natural spring waters. This is where the mystical magical waters refresh me after a hot run, allow me to cool my legs after a hard run, and where I aqua run these days. This is a special place, so mellow, so beautiful, so calm, so awesome.










Last week, when hurricane Hermine came over Austin and dumped rain for a continuous 24 hours, Barton Springs took a big hit. Check out these videos :

This Wednesday http://friendsofbartonspringspool.org is organizing a cleanup session for volunteers. They have 2 hour sessions starting at 10am, and since I have some flexibility on Wednesday, I look forward to giving back to a place that has given so much to me.
