Thursday Oct 28

Yesterdays 30mins was a mixed bag. The first 22mins were great, and Karma and I had tons of fun running a longer than usual route down to the water. The return trip was about 18 minutes and with about 5 mins to go, I could feel the ITB waking up. However, mentally, this run was worth it's weight in gold!

In other news, my 5 potted tomato plants have decided to work overtime and every 3rd day, I pick about this many tomatoes.
This was Monday:

And this is today:

I have been giving quite a few of them away to those that visit and those that I see (for example my Doctor today got some), and eating as much as possible. The rest will become pasta sauce with my basil that is still very healthy!

My doctor appointment was brutal. In addition to the extended manual work and grinding on my ITB, back, and hamstring, I got the usual machines plus a new one that looks like this:

Not the greatest photo but it was a hidden shot so that's all you get. Its essentially a giant medical vacuum machine that provides the equivalent of a deep tissue massage in a fraction of the time.
They worked all over my upper left leg, back and left psoa. Good stuff. Apparently I'm supposed to drink plenty of water or I may bruise up from it.

Yes, I am fully aware that my run was longer than 30 minutes. : )

Congrats on the run! You know that you've gone to Nov in your titles for the past two days? Ready for the holiday season already?
