Spring / Summer Menu

My veggies / fruits in the ground at this time include:

From seed:

  1. sunflowers
  2. radishes
  3. squash
  4. cucumber (4 plants to grow vertical)
  5. beets
  6. bell peppers (3 plants)
  7. okra
  8. peas
  9. 4 types of beans: green, green, yellow and purple.
  10. basil - two types, sweet and geneva
  11. carrots - "any season" type. (I have my doubts that they can handle the texas sun as carrots are cool weather veggies.)

Purchased baby transplants:

  1. 7 plants of tomatoes: 2 plants of cherry 100, 1 early girl, 1 heinz, kellogg, 1 green zebra, 1 yellow pear
  2. butternut squash
  3. eggplant - regular shape (2 plants)
  4. eggplant - banana shape (6 plants)
  5. bell peppers (2 plants)
  6. zucchini
  7. watermelon
  8. mexican mint marigold

Transplants are inexpensive.
They ranged from 99¢-$2.99 depending on the plant.
Tomatoes were on the high end, but $3 is cheap for the yield that I will enjoy.
$2.29 for all 6 banana-shaped eggplants!
