John Wayne was born today....

...and so was yours truly.

One good thing about it being your birthday, is, not much is expected of you, people seem to like you more than usual, and your mom and dad call you from across the globe!

Another good part of it, is people seem to want to buy you things. So far, I have a Scooby Doo and a Sponge Bob Square pants balloon hovering above my desk, 2, yes count them, and 2 iTunes gift certificates.

At lunch (3 friends and I, have this standing appointment at 11:20am at Texadelphia for "Thank god it's Queso Friday". This has been going on for 4 years now. We rotate who buys the queso, and send continuous email jabs at each other coming up with the best excuses on how it can't possibly ones turn to buy.), it was my turn to buy today. For once, I had no qualms about buying, it was my turn, and dammit, it's my birthday! But, not only did Dan aka T-Bone pay for the Queso, Randy aka bought my Cheesesteak; Left Coast, no onions or lettuce, add Fries, and soda. Sweet! Didn't even have to order. Add an obnoxious amount of limes to the coke and life don't get much better (at lunchtime). Score!



"Hey! you, behind the counter; we need some jalapenos in this queso!" What the %^$% man, we're here every Friday. Your predecessor knew what was up, why can't you figure it out too. Speaking of, haven't seen Preston in a few months. I wonder if he finally quit that gig?)

Walk next door to FourBucks so my buds can get their caffeine fix, and pulled the ol' "hey, it's my birthday! Can I get a free something?" She checks my ID, and mixes up, not a tall or grande, but a Venti sized Frappucino! Dome lid please! oh, and also, put one of those sleeves on it, I don't like the sweaty glass! Nice!

Did I mention 2 cards, 5 e-greetings, numerous phone calls, and several emails?! Yep, I'm big man on campus today!

Come back to work, and find out a rumor that the bigger boss is sending big boss out at 2pm to buys beers for 3pm! uh oh. This is going to be a loooong day!
and it isn't even 12:35pm yet...
