Fine line between Heaven and Hell

Never attempt to make up rap songs while running hills. Especially up a hill, and especially the making up part. You will, however, be just fine singing a rap song you know well on up hills. You know, like:

She's dressed in yellow, she says "Hello,
come sit next to me you fine fellow."
You run over there without a second to lose
And what comes next hey bust a move!

..but let me tell you from experience, the combination of: Running-up-a-hill AND your-brain-working-overtime-trying-to-come-up-with-witty-lines-that-rhyme will simply destroy your energy stash. Tear all your energy to pieces, and almost render you unable to run any more. Believe me. Don't try this.

However, if you’re running flat lands, or even slight downhills, let me tell you that grabbing names and words off signs and making rap songs out of them is quite entertaining, and helps you get through tough miles in a hurry. I just wish I could remember the one I invented for “Dawson Elementary” off Exposition, just before Randy drove by with Sheri and Sambo on his way to Red Bud trail dog park. What I can tell you is that Elementary was pronounced “elemen- TAH – Reeee”.

Wait! I think it's coming back to me... Was it??

I was running past Dawson ElemenTAREE
and you would never guess who I did SEE
It wasn't a dooog...
It wasn't a caaaat...
It-wasn't-even-a-kid with a base ball bat

Nope, that wasn't it. But that's a mighty fine one, if I do say so myself!

About the only thing that gets me away from the Springs is a fully flowing Barton Creek...this I cherish as much as possible knowing it dries so quickly.

If you get the chance, TOOB IT! Best kept secret of Austin recreation.
