Day 3 of the weekend workout.

Friday was a 7 mile trail run followed by a 5 miles of hill repeats.  My legs were seriously tired after that. 
Saturday was a 20 mile run with 12 of those miles at a faster than comfortable pace to further tax the legs.
Sunday was another 7 miles followed by 3 repeats up a ridiculously steep and very rocky 1/4 mile hill.  My legs had nothing left.  
When I mean nothing, i seriously mean nothing.

That was the last 3 day hard weekend before my race on Jan 7. 

I took Monday off, then joined my road running club for 9 miles on Tuesday.  The route was moderately hilly, and I quickly realized I made a big mistake going the full 9 miles.  By mile 6 my legs just needed butter and jam, as they were burnt toast.  Decided to take Wednesday off, and didn't make it out to a run today either. 
I am definitely taking Karma for our weekly Friday trail run with Cindy and her dog Domingo tomorrow (7ish miles), then will run 5 or so on Saturday, then 13 for the yearly New Years day run. 
Monday - Friday of next week will be a little heavier than this week, as I have just felt dead in the legs this week.
