Run Update - Tuesday Jan 2 to Sunday Jan 7

Tuesday I ran the Blue Jacket workout. It was a mini-Oregon, which consisted of running a mile on the track at 10K pace, and then jumping on to the street and running 2 miles at MGP and then another 4 laps (mile) on the track at 10K pace. I felt pretty good about my performance, but not sure if I kept my MGP on that part as I have no earthly idea how the pace is supposed to feel. 3.5 Mile warm/cool downs, and 4 mile workout.
TOTAL : 7.5 miles


Wednesday was a pain train workout. Our workout was to run 2.6 milkes out to Scenic drive, then running the loop 4 times. The loop is about 0.89 of a mile. It's a bitch of a hill as you can see in the elevation (picture), but we rocked it. Mike (ostrich) was feeling spectacular, and I did all i could to hang on to his frantic pace on loops 3 and 4. We did this workout 3 months ago and we ran just under or over 7 mins for each lap.
This time:
Lap 1 - 6:54
Lap 2 - 7:02
Lap 3 - 6:32
Lap 4 - 5:57
We ROCKED that workout!
Total Miles: 9 Miles

Thursday - nothing (self imposed taper due to sunday race)
Friday - nothing on schedule (taper)
Saturday - 2 mile trail run to stretch legs
Sunday - ARA20Miler race. report to come. 20 miles +1mile warmup.

Total Miles: 39.5 hard fought Miles.
