Hi Motherf***ers!!!
Wiley and I were both planning on running the Daisy 5K on Mother's Day. But we found out that the bastards moved the event to Cedar Park. Both of us refuse to drive that far for a 5K. But both also still want to run a race that day (in fact, my whole Mother's Day plan revolved around starting the day with a 5K, then eat, then drink, then nap) but there are no other options in town. So we have decided to start our own 5K. Sorta.
We would like to welcome you all to the:
First Annual Blue Jackets Motherf****er's Day 2.45M 5K Trail Race
This will be a 2.45ish mile race through the beautiful Barton Creek Greenbelt. It will be a double loop, non-chip timed (honor system actually), trail running extravaganza. Entry fee will be $5. The fastest female and fastest male will be provided with a tech tee with the bluejackets logo on the front and acknowledgment of your win on the back. The rest of the cash will be used to buy beer for post-event fun!
Before we get too excited, though, we want to know who might be interested in racing for this glorious cause. OK. There is no glorious cause. But we would really like to run with you all! The details (again) are as follows:
Date: Sunday May 13th
Time: 8:30AM Start (whistle start)
Location: Austin Trail entrance (T.B.Disclosed)
Distance: Give or take 5K (does it really matter exactly)
Prizes: Custom T for 1st Male and Female Finisher
Cost: $5 Donation to help fill the post-race cooler and pay for the prozes
Attire: This is a trail run - so probably don't want to come in your Sunday best. In fact, attire is completely optional (but watch for poison ivy if choose this option).
Timing: Honor System or Clipboard Technique
Bibs: Maybe but don't count on it
Let us know if you are in. Or are you a motherf****er!
(Now for the serious business: We would like to hear from anyone who would like to race by early next week so we can make a 'Go/NoGo' Decision and starting drowning our sorrows when everyone says 'no').
Thanks!
Lulu and Wiley

I'd do it, but the captcha is completely unreadable.
wpmqmpum wtf ?
I may not make it out of the swamps of Florida by Sunday morning. That's my only concern.
Again, not Amanda - Gordon. Still too lazy to re-log in
My training plan has a 10-mile run that day, but I usually get an earlier start so it would work out to save the last 3 miles for this. What's a bluejacket, assuming its not just a jacket that is blue?
A bluejacket (aka BJ) is a tough-ass runner! We'd love to have you John.
Gordon - it takes about 10 seconds to logout and back in. Of course, it takes that log for me to figure out the stupid letters in the stupid captcha.
