This is not a Clint Eastwood movie

The Good:
For the first time, in oh, I’d say 7 or 8 weeks, I have slept non-stop until my alarm rang at 5:57am. Usually I wake up around 3:45, 4:15, 5:05 or somewhere in there, and think about stuff, and sometimes don’t’ even go back to sleep. I even went to bed before 10pm and so I slept a good 8 hours. Very nice!

The Bad:
Yesterday I went home for lunch to let Karma out to pee and eat lunch. In walking Karma in the little grass yard by my building, I stepped in some other dog’s poop. Great! I cursed them out, and walked inside, took my shoe off, and proceeded within the next few seconds to step in my cat’s puke that he left for me in the office. Double great! I typed up a note to the poo owner and placed it with a flag at the poop location asking them to stop being lazy and pick up after their dog. We’ll see how that goes.
This morning at 9am I had a demo scheduled with this lady who cancelled a prior appointment with me 2 weeks ago. She cancelled on me again. We’re rescheduled for Monday afternoon, but she said: "If something with a client comes up, it’ll take precedence, and we'll have to reschedule again". Can you say: ”Not a real sales opportunity here”. I sure can. If she cancels on Monday, I’m going to tell her to consider a different vendor. I don't work with people like that.

The Ugly:
Yesterday, I bonked. For the first time in my life, I wasn’t able to finish a run workout. I didn’t do a good job of eating on Sunday or Monday, didn’t hydrate well, I drank several beers and margaritas on Monday afternoon, and it was hot out. For me, that was a deadly combination that resulted in me not even attempting to finish our deathly hard workout. I know it was hard from the look on the face of all the others in the group. I felt like a turd sitting there on the bench as everyone else ran on.

I sorta always secretly hope that demos I've scheduled get canceled. What's most annoying about cancellations is the amount of prep that is sometimes involved. You spend hours getting your shit lined up to sell your stuff, and then: nothing. I hear ya. Walk away.

I hate sleepless nights. I've had the same problem for the month of May, but last night I got 10 hours of sleep;)
