Actually, add a good hill to any run, and it's part of my favorites. I love to power up hills. As you're running up the hill, at first your legs start to burn, but if you can run through the lactic acid burn, your legs get rejuvenated and you just start to climb "effortlessly" => I love that feeling.
Here's what we ran today. Started at Barton Springs at 6am, ran around Town Lake, then over to Hula Hut and up Mount Bonnell. Down the backside of Mt Bonnell, out for a mile and back up the backside and back to Barton Springs.
Total Run time including 9 water stops: 2 hours 16 mins.
Pace per mile with water stops included: 8 min 30 seconds per mile.
Assuming an average of 90 second water stops: 7 min 51 seconds per mile.
