Run Log - Week 10 - Mon 7/19 - Sun 7/15

7/9/2007 - Monday 5:30am - 10 Miles - Bruce and Nedra. Jodie joined us for 5 miles along with karma. We had fun on the second 5 running up to campus and around in there without destination. Felt sluggish first 2 miles, but overall felt good.
7/10/2007 - Tuesday 5:30am - 11 Miles - 29 laps around the track. Texas 10 K. Last 4 set of 400s were hard to fiish, ut I hit almost all my times. 50 second 200s was my goal which was 6:40 pace. 44min work out + warmup and cool downs. I was dead tired when I got back to the annex and the cooldown run was slow as a grandma driven by miss daisy herself, but i ran.
7/11/2007 - Wednesday 5:45am - 6 Miles - 6 miles around townlake with nedra. Felt sluggish the first 2 miles, but eventually my legs came back. I did good.
7/12/2007 - Thursday 5:30am - 8 Miles - On today’s schedule were Scenic Hills repeats.  2.5 mile warm-up run out to the bottom of Scenic to start off the festivities.  3 sets of scenic hill loops.  I AM HILLS.  A painful 3 loops where my 3 climbs timed in at 2:18, 2:22 and 2:22. I was dead after the third one. walked 30 yards or so to recover before runing around. 3.5 miles back.
7/13/2007 - Friday - OFF - 0 Miles - OFF
7/14/2007 - Saturday 6AM - 16 Miles - Mt bonnel 16 miler. Felt great. I took a Gu at Sizemore and a Gu after the climb of Mt Bonnell. I powered up the hill. And ran about 7min 51 sec pace for the run. Total time including 9 water stops 2 hrs 16 mins. Loved it! Muggy and Air was lacking, but i did well. Slight twitch in my hamstring. Got ART treatment from Performance Wellness. She was amazed how screwed up my calves and Plantars is. Oh well. ( i did have some plantars pains on middle of left foot around mile 2.5 but i picked up the pace by 15 seconds or so, and it gradually disappeared. I'm starting to figure out how to make it go away during a run, which is good.
7/15/2007 - Sunday 7:30AM - 5 Miles - Trail with Nedra, Bruce and JJ, Felt ok, but could definitely feel that my quads were tired. 1min04 seconds up to the top of the hill! My quads and legs were sore and very tired all day Sunday.
