I didnt' get around to watching Race #7 of the Americas Cup until last night. The race was sailed on Tuesday morning.
I know, you're reading this and you're yawning *ho hum, gasp* "What a boring thing".
This last race as exciting as any good football game. Both sailboats were right next to each other for most of the race, and couple a penalty with a complete 180 degree wind change 400 meters from the finish, and you have yourself the most exhilarating Americas Cup final race the world has ever seen.
Now it's over, Alinghi successfully defended the cup, so it will remain in Europe for 3, 4, or maybe even 5 years until the next series comes around!
Man that was some great great stuff!
This video is 4mins long, but only 2 mins of it is of the race itself, while the other 2mins are post race interviews. I think if you give it a chance, you'll see how interesting/cool modern day sailboat racing can be!

I have always thought sailing is cool - primarily because I have no idea how to do it.
