I’ve had three pains appear since my 14 mile long run on Saturday. I ran the slowest pace I’ve run in 4 months during these 14 miles, and that may have caused it.
1- My left fascia (Plantars Fasciitis flared up big time, and now I can’t walk without my foot hurting like hell. I’ve been running with Plantars pain for almost a year now, but never has it hurt this much. Going in to get it treated Tuesday morning.
2- My left ankle hurts like it’s fractured. Not sure if it’s just the Plantars that’s also affecting the ankle area or if it’s really injured. Going in to get it treated Tuesday morning.
3- My right hamstring feels really sore. I believe this may just be a ghost pain.
Nothing short of a broken bone will stop me from running, but dammit, why is it all happening no? : (

I had no pain, problems or issues for an entire year, training for IMAZ. Until the final week of taper, then I started having muscle cramps/ pain/ issues with my psoaz (can't be bothered looking up the spelling). Suddenly I couldn't swim without pain, or ride without fear of cramping. 51 weeks of no problems, then I eased off and my body fell apart.
No answers for you, but I feel your pain.
FCUK! Well, perhaps it's partly nerves and anticipation and your body just reminding you to pay attention during the marathon. I have confidence you'll be fine.
