No more Heroes

I came home from Chicago with a DVR full of TV shows to catch up on.  2 episodes of Heroes, Bionic Woman, Survivorman, Friday Night Lights, Longhorn Sportscenter, NFL Primetime etc…

So last night I got home, and promptly plopped myself down on the couch to get some rest and relaxation.

Cable box is dead.  I called tech support, we reset the box, but nothing.   So now they’re coming to fix it on Friday afternoon. The problem is, when a DVR goes down, they don’t let you keep your hard drive with the shows you’ve saved.  They swap out your box, and you’re S.O.L.

Dammit.

While I was down on luck, she proceeded to try and sell me on their Phone service. “While I have you on the phone, has anyone talked to you about adding Cable Phone to your package?”   I guess she thought I’d be up for an even higher monthly bill.  I told her I was un-willing to add another somewhat unreliable Time Warner service to my package.  I don’t think she liked my reply, but then again, she had my crappy internet connection support call history in front of her, so can she blame me?

Not that this is much consolation but you can watch Heroes online.
=( Not quite the same as on your giant tv...but at least you can find out what happened to Peter and where Hiro ended up. And Sylar..the bastard.....
