Head said WHAM, now says OUCH

Went and ran the trails with Kerry and Brad this morning.  It was a nice little run around the Pantie Loop.

Kerry tripped, fell hard, busted her elbow, collarbone area, and drew blood on her knee.  She thought that was cool as you need to have something to show for if you fall.  She’s a tough cookie, and we kept running.

Towards the end I stopped at the little spot where Eden lied down in a little water pool and let the cool water cool her down the last time we ran the trails together.  I had a few of her ashes with me and spread them in that little pool, so she can also be part of the greenbelt and with me on my future runs.

I then kept running and BAM, slammed my head into a big fat branch (soccer ball wide/sized) that goes across the trail.  I’ve run that route hundreds of times and always know where to duck, but I think the whole Eden thing and the dark night run made me forget about the tree limb.   No blood or anything, but I hit the top of my head REAL hard on that thing.

Now I sit here at work with a terrible headache.  I’m not sure staring at a computer all day is a good thing.  We’ll see how that goes.

OUCH!

...maybe I'll stick to road running after all...

While I'm sorry you banged your head, I get teary when I think about how much you loved (and continue to cherish) all your runs with Eden. Bless her little heart.

Whoah! Sorry to hear about that.

Maybe you still had beer from Aussies running through your system!

That was the loudest head thump I have ever heard. And yes...crashing hard like I did and NOT having blood to show for it. That is a travesty! I am all sorts of jacked up today - though likely not as much as you!
