Tired, Sore, and sleepy

I apologize for the crappy posts lately, but, then again, it’s my blog, and this is what’s consuming my life these days.

My lower back has been hurting, and yesterday reached an all time bad.  It has to do with being sick, but it still hurts.  I could barely put socks or running shoes on this morning.  I went for a run with Kerry and Karma this morning.  I set my alarm, but failed to turn it on, so instead of taking 45 minutes to get ready , I had about 12 minutes. I still felt like I was asleep when we started running.   I still am coughing and it’s taking all my energy away.  I had little to no energy on the run, and my timing is quite good as Kerry has bronchitis, so we both ran at a deathly slow pace down to the creek, coughing up a storm on the way...

Once we reached the creek, we sat down on the rocky beach and just sat there for 10 minutes in the dark talking.  It was really nice to be down there again, a nice peaceful place.  The silence interrupted only by one of us coughing up a lung every 30 seconds.

On the way back there was plenty of walking.  I just had no energy to run up the hills.  I got home, took a shower then went back to bed for 20 minutes. Just lying there, dead.  I could have easily slept for 2 hours.  Now I’m sitting at work, trying to figure out how I can make it be 11am so I can go home and take a nap.

On the way back, we saw a little baby rabbit on the trail close to my concussion tree.  He froze up in our light beams, and was lying about 2 feet from us in the dry leaves.  As we were blinding him, I bet he never knew what we were.  Cute little fella, with big marble sized eyes.  Couldn’t have been any bigger than the size of an apple.  (Karma was lagging behind and didn’t see him. Phew.)

Is it Friday yet?
