I'm going to be in Philadelphia Monday evening through Thursday afernoon.
Does anyone have any ideas/recommendations on where I can run at 6am?
I've never been to Philly, and all I know is that they have a lightning fast marathon course, there are stairs that Rocky ran on (that'd be fun), and apparently their football fans are diehards.
So my questions are, where do I run? is the city safe? Where should i NOT run?
etc.

Probably around Independence Hall and all that would be pretty cool. I heard Franklin used to shake off that constitution drafting stress with 400's around the mall.
I'm sure you've already done this, but there's MapMyRun & of course Google routes on walkjogrun.net. I usually try to find some parks or look at running club websites for the area if I know I have time for running. Although, I did make the mistake this weekend in DC of asking the overweight gals at front desk of the hotel good running routes were (I had forgotten to look for places to run before I got there) & then I got lost. Doh!
Fairmont Park is an eight mile loop that you can do from the art museum, finishing with a sprint up the steps. Hate to break it to you, but the movie makes it look a lot harder than it actually is. Also, an out and back over the Ben Franklin bridge was a staple of my training while I lived there. Don't go to Camden though, unless you're armed.
