See the Map. Took off from Barton Springs at 5:30 and head around Silker park, up Stratford and into the Rollingwood hills. A few of us missed a turn, and ended up going on wrong roads, but I quickly determined that we were pretty close to getting back on track for the return loop of the 10 mile route, so we just ran the loop backward to the mid way water stop...
4 of us continued on to the 14 mile route, while the rest returned back for their 10 miler. The 14 mile took us up from the Westlake Library to 360, across, and up Scottish Trail drive to the Trail entrance at the "Hill of Life". We then got to run 7 miles down the greenbelt enjoying peace and tranquility.
As I was going 16, i painfully forced myself to do 2 1 mile loops around Zilker/Barton Springs. I'm glad I got my 16 in, but I must say that the 2nd loop sucked.
All this capped off by a well deserved dip in the cool waters of Barton Springs. I love the springs!
Already 26.5 miles in two days, so only 54 more to get to 80!

You went right by my neighborhood, I'm just a bit behind the library there at Westbank & Pinnacle. I should try doing that modified trail/road route sometime, it looks pretty nice. And a good way to get a long run in from my house, instead of just going to the H&B trail.
Wow! Awesome work for a Tuesday morning. Awesome work period!! You are rockin' it, Mike!
Glenda:
it's a very nice commute down to the springs for sure! about 8 miles from 360 and Scottish whatever that street is called to the springs! it's just too bad and so sad that the creek is so so dry. : (
made me sad every time i looked over hoping to see the wonderful water from 2 months ago, so i had to stop looking.... which kind of in a way was pretty cool, because i saw some thing on the other side that i've never seen before as i'm always looking at the water!
i didn't save the full route... but here's a quick and dirty of the stratford to westlake library roads we took...

Erin: Yes, I'm awesome. Thanks for confirming it! ha ha!
woohoo, after a couple of miles from my home, I get to your 6 mile point, then that's my commute run down to your 13 or 14 point (Spyglass), nice run, yes, we need more rain.
Heehee, I was trying to leave the Pool parking lot (in my car) past y'all doing your strides.
