This morning at 4:35-4:40m, as is customary, Karma went into this one set of bushes to chase after this one neighborhood cat. Both Karma and the Cat have met face to face on numerous occasions and sniffed each other out.
I let him dive into those bushes every morning, because I think the cat acutally enjoys it. He's not looking to eat the feline, just chase him down. It's a young one who frequently will leap up onto a ground floor balcony legde, or jump up on a car and watch as Karma and I walk by. He totally looks like he's having fun and thinking: "Ooooo! There's my buddy!!"
But something different happened today. This time, to both Karma and my surprise, instead of a red cat, an armadillo came flying out of the bushes!! You can only imagine Karma's enthusiasm to go chase that thing down.
Too bad for him the retractable leash locks up at 14feet! (quite the cartoon episode)
